Effects of the Refractive Index of Monomers & Oligomers on Free Radical Coatings
The purpose of this application bulletin is to help choose monomers and oligomers when specific RI properties of a film are desired. The RI of numerous Sartomer monomers and oligomers are provided in tabular form. Not all of our products have been tested. Some general trends are discussed so selection of monomers and oligomers not listed in the table can be considered. Structure, molecular weight, and functionality of the monomers are all factors affecting the RI.
