Literature Detail
Acrylated Amine Coinitiators for UV Curable Coatings
This application bulletin was written to aid the formulator in selecting the right acrylated amine coinitiator. This study differentiates the coinitiators using performance properties, such as surface cure speed, amine volatility, and yellowing resistance. Although solvent resistance may not be useful in differentiating these products, it should be pointed out that this property is significantly enhanced through the addition of amines. The above properties are extremely important in differentiating the acrylated amine products. As revealed in this bulletin, CN371 delivers superior performance in most cases, with CN386 providing a close second. These data also highlight the advantages of acrylated amines over free amines, such as MDEA.
