New Developments in the Commercialization of UV Curable Inkjet Inks
The development of UV inkjet inks will offer the suppliers of radiation curable raw materials and equipment a new platform for growth. Several consultant reports and Radtech International have indicated that growth rates in excess of 30% should be realized. The limiting factor for this market is the development of inkjet machines that are designed for UV curing chemistry. Traditional UV ink partners (lamp manufacturers and monomer, oligomer and photoinitiator producers) are now focusing on the specific needs of the inkjet market. This is a major step forward. With improved inks, print heads and lamps, integrators will have the necessary tools to successfully penetrate this segment of the digital printing industry.
